Beef Sauce:

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 2 cups (480ml) beef broth
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups (150g) shredded cheddar cheese or mozzarella

Garnish:

  • 1/4 cup (15g) chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Cook the bowtie pasta until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. Cook the Ground Beef: Heat olive oil in a skillet, add ground beef and onion, cook until beef is browned.
  3. Add Garlic: Cook minced garlic for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Season: Stir in tomatoes, broth, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Finish the Sauce: Stir in cream, heat through, then add cheese and stir until smooth.
  6. Combine: Toss cooked pasta in the beef sauce until coated.
  7. Serve: Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
