Bang Bang Sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne or smoked paprika

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Chicken:

  • 1 pound chicken breast, chopped
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk or milk
  • 3/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne or smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • FOR GARNISH: Fresh chopped parsley, spicy chili flakes

Instructions

  1. Bang Bang Sauce: Whisk together all sauce ingredients in a bowl. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  2. Bang Bang Chicken:
    1. Heat oil in a pot to 375°F.
    2. Marinate chicken in buttermilk.
    3. Combine dry ingredients in a bowl.
    4. Coat chicken in cornstarch mixture and fry until golden.
    5. Drain fried chicken on paper towels.
    6. Toss chicken in bang bang sauce and garnish with parsley and chili flakes.
