Brussels Sprouts:
- 1/2 pound Brussels sprouts, halved
Onion:
- 1/2 yellow onion, cut into thick slices
Additional Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (plus more to taste)
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Preheat the Grill: Heat your grill to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the Vegetables: Wash the Brussels sprouts and pat them dry. Slice the onion into thick rings.
- Season: Place the Brussels sprouts and onion slices in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, then sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
- Prepare the Foil Packets: Lay a large piece of aluminum foil on a flat surface and add the Brussels sprouts and onion mixture. Place another large piece of foil on top, folding the edges to seal. Use a fork or knife to poke a few holes in the top of the foil to allow steam to escape during grilling.
- Grill: Place the foil packets over direct heat on the preheated grill. Grill for 20-25 minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts are tender and slightly charred.
- Serve: Carefully remove the foil from the grill, open it, and serve the grilled Brussels sprouts immediately. Adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if desired.
Notes
- For added flavor, you can sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the grilled Brussels sprouts before serving.
- Feel free to customize the seasoning with your favorite herbs and spices.
