These grilled Brussels sprouts are a must-try for any barbecue enthusiast. They are perfectly seasoned and cooked to tender, charred perfection, making them a delicious and healthy side dish for any grilled meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Brussels Sprouts:

  • 1/2 pound Brussels sprouts, halved

Onion:

  • 1/2 yellow onion, cut into thick slices

Additional Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (plus more to taste)
  • Freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Grill: Heat your grill to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the Vegetables: Wash the Brussels sprouts and pat them dry. Slice the onion into thick rings.
  3. Season: Place the Brussels sprouts and onion slices in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, then sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
  4. Prepare the Foil Packets: Lay a large piece of aluminum foil on a flat surface and add the Brussels sprouts and onion mixture. Place another large piece of foil on top, folding the edges to seal. Use a fork or knife to poke a few holes in the top of the foil to allow steam to escape during grilling.
  5. Grill: Place the foil packets over direct heat on the preheated grill. Grill for 20-25 minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts are tender and slightly charred.
  6. Serve: Carefully remove the foil from the grill, open it, and serve the grilled Brussels sprouts immediately. Adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if desired.

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the grilled Brussels sprouts before serving.
  • Feel free to customize the seasoning with your favorite herbs and spices.
