  2. Mix in Starter and Salt: Add sourdough starter and salt, mix until elastic.
  3. Bulk Fermentation: Let dough ferment for 4–6 hours, do stretch and folds.
  4. Pre-shape and Rest: Divide dough, pre-shape into logs, rest covered.
  5. Final Shaping: Shape into baguettes, proof seam side up.
  6. Score and Bake: Preheat oven, create steam, score baguettes, bake.
  7. Cool and Serve: Let cool on rack before slicing.

Notes

  • You can refrigerate the shaped baguettes overnight for enhanced flavor.
  • For a crispy crust, create steam in the oven during baking.
