Indulge in the rich and creamy goodness of this Slow Cooker Hot Chocolate. Perfect for cozy nights or festive gatherings, this decadent treat will warm you up from the inside out.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Hot Chocolate:

  • 4 cups heavy cream, divided
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet baking bar, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Add 2 cups of the heavy cream to the slow cooker. Whisk in the cocoa powder until fully combined, this might take a while. (see note below.)
  2. Add the remaining 2 cups heavy cream, milk, sweetened condensed milk, chopped chocolate, and vanilla, stir to combine.
  3. Place on low for 3 hours, stirring every 20 minutes or so until the chocolate is melted and fully combined.
  4. Switch to the warm setting for up to 3 hours for serving. If the hot chocolate gets too thick while it sits, you can stir in more milk to your desired thickness.
  5. Serve with your desired toppings such as marshmallows, whipped cream, chocolate syrup, or crushed candy canes!

Notes

  • For optimal results, use high-quality chocolate for a richer flavor.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sweetened condensed milk to suit your taste.
