Main Ingredients
- 100 grams Coco Pops
- 4 funsize Mars Bars (around 78 grams total)
- 2 teaspoons reduced fat spread
- 25 grams white chocolate
Decorations
- Red sugar balls
- Herb leaves or readymade holly decorations
- Melt the Mars Bars and Spread: Halve the Mars Bars and place them into a microwaveable bowl along with the reduced fat spread. Microwave in short bursts, stirring in between, until the mixture is fully melted and smooth.
- Combine with Coco Pops: Fold the Coco Pops carefully into the melted chocolate mixture, ensuring every piece is fully coated with the chocolate and spread mixture.
- Form the Mixture Heaps: Using a spoon, place about 30 small heaps of the coated mixture onto a tray lined with baking parchment or a non-stick surface.
- Refrigerate to Set: Place the tray in the fridge for approximately 15 minutes, or until the mixture has firmed up enough to hold its shape.
- Shape into Balls: Once set, shape each heap into neat balls resembling small Christmas puddings.
- Decorate: Melt the white chocolate gently, either in a microwave or using a double boiler, then drizzle a little over each ball. Finish by decorating each pudding with red sugar balls and herb leaves or ready-made edible holly decorations for a festive look.
Notes
- If Mars Bars are unavailable, substitute with similar caramel and nougat chocolate bars.
- Ensure you do not overheat the chocolate to avoid burning; melt in short bursts and stir frequently.
- Use a non-stick surface or baking parchment to prevent sticking when shaping the puddings.
- These treats can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For a vegan option, use dairy-free chocolate and spread alternatives.
