Instructions

  1. Let the yeast mixture froth up – In a large measuring cup, combine warm milk, dry active yeast, and granulated sugar. Whisk and let it froth for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Add all dough ingredients into your stand mixer – Combine flour, sugar, salt, butter, eggs, vanilla, and frothy yeast. Mix until dough forms.
  3. Let the dough rise – Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1-2 hours until doubled.
  4. Roll, cut, and rise the dough again – Roll out dough, cut into circles, and let rise for 30 minutes.
  5. Fry the donuts and cover in sugar – Heat oil, fry donuts until golden, then coat in granulated sugar.
