- 450 grams salmon fillets
- Salt, to taste
- Ground black pepper, to taste
For the Glaze:
- 120 millilitres freshly squeezed orange juice
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch, whisked with 1 teaspoon water (optional, for thickening)
- Sear the Salmon – Heat butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season salmon fillets with salt and black pepper. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes until internal temperature reaches 63°C.
- Prepare the Glaze – Whisk together orange juice, honey, soy sauce, garlic, and cornstarch slurry if using.
- Cook the Glaze – Pour the mixture into the skillet. Simmer and stir until thickened, about 30 to 60 seconds if cornstarch is used.
- Coat and Serve – Spoon the glaze over the salmon fillets to coat evenly. Serve garnished with orange slices.
