Crust
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- ¼ cup white sugar
- ½ cup butter, softened
Cream Cheese Layer
- 1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed (divided)
- ¾ cup white sugar
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
Pudding Layer
- 1 (3.9 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
- 1 (3.4 ounce) package instant butterscotch pudding mix
- 3 cups milk
- Prepare the crust: Thoroughly blend graham cracker crumbs, ¼ cup white sugar, and softened butter together until evenly combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch pan, creating an even crust layer.
- Make the cream cheese layer: In a bowl, blend half of the thawed whipped topping with ¾ cup white sugar and the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Spread this mixture evenly on top of the prepared graham cracker crust.
- Prepare the pudding layer: Whip together the instant chocolate pudding mix, instant butterscotch pudding mix, and milk until the mixture thickens as per the package instructions. Evenly spread the pudding mixture over the cream cheese layer.
- Top with whipped topping: Spread the remaining half of the whipped topping evenly over the pudding layer to finish the pie.
- Chill and serve: Refrigerate the pie for at least 2 hours to allow layers to set properly before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For best results, use full-fat cream cheese and whipped topping to ensure rich texture.
- You can substitute milk with half-and-half for a creamier pudding layer.
- To add some crunch, sprinkle chopped nuts on top before chilling.
- This pie is best served chilled and consumed within 2 days.
- You can use store-bought or homemade whipped topping depending on preference.
