  • zest of 1 large lemon
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil (divided)
  • 2 Tablespoons butter (divided)

Lemon Sauce:

  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
  • lemon wedges (for serving)
  • fresh parsley or thyme (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta: Boil water, add salt, cook pasta until just shy of al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare Chicken: Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and lemon zest. Cook in skillet until golden. Set aside.
  3. Make Lemon Sauce: Sauté garlic and red pepper flakes. Add wine, broth, lemon juice, zest, and seasoning. Simmer.
  4. Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add drained pasta and Parmesan to the sauce. Toss to combine.
  5. Finish Dish: Return chicken to the skillet. Cook briefly until fully done. Garnish and serve.
