- Orange zest for garnish
- Chop cranberries: Place the fresh cranberries in a food processor and pulse until they are coarsely chopped. Transfer the chopped cranberries to a large bowl.
- Chop apple: Add the cored and quartered apple to the food processor and pulse until finely chopped. Add the chopped apple to the bowl with the cranberries.
- Chop orange: Add the orange, with seeds removed and ends trimmed, to the food processor and pulse until finely chopped. Transfer the chopped orange to the bowl with the cranberries and apple.
- Mix ingredients: Add the granulated sugar to the bowl with the chopped cranberries, apple, and orange. Stir well to combine all the ingredients thoroughly.

Notes
- This relish is best made a day ahead to let the flavors fully develop.
- You can finely chop the ingredients by hand if you don’t have a food processor, but pulsing ensures a more uniform texture.
- Use fresh cranberries for best tartness, but thawed frozen cranberries can be used in a pinch.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container refrigerated and consume within three days.
