Ingredients

Scale

Salmon

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Honey Garlic Sauce

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated (optional)

For Serving

  • Chopped green onions (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper to enhance flavor and ensure a good sear.
  2. Make the Honey Garlic Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, Dijon mustard (if using), lemon juice, and grated ginger (if using) until well combined to create a balanced sweet and savory glaze.
  3. Cook the Salmon: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes until golden brown and easily releases from the pan. Flip the fillets carefully and pour the honey garlic sauce over them. Continue cooking for another 3-5 minutes, basting the salmon with the sauce, until it is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  4. Serve: Remove the salmon from the skillet and place on a serving platter. Drizzle any remaining honey garlic sauce from the pan over the fillets. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve with lemon wedges on the side for added brightness.
