Penne Pasta:

  • 1 pound penne pasta

  • 1 pound Italian sausage, ground

Sauce:

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups baby spinach
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves, torn, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil salted water, cook penne until al dente, then set aside with reserved pasta water.
