  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

Add-Ins:

  • 1 cup chopped mint Oreo cookies (or Thin Mints)
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup Guittard mint chips or chopped Andes mints
  • Flaky sea salt for sprinkling on cookies

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a Silpat.
  2. Prepare Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa.
  3. Mix Wet Ingredients: Cream the butter and sugars until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well.
  4. Combine and Bake: Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mix until just combined. Stir in Oreos, chocolate chips, and mint chips. Drop dough on baking sheet, bake for 10 minutes.
  5. Cool and Enjoy: Let the cookies sit on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • You can use regular Oreo cookies if mint-flavored Oreos are not available.
