  • 12 ounces Cremini Mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves Fresh Garlic, minced

  • 1 1/2 teaspoon fresh Thyme Leaves

For the Chicken:

  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Sea Salt, or according to your taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper, or according to your taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 2 pounds thinly sliced Chicken Breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Butter

For the Marsala Sauce:

  • 1 cup Marsala Wine
  • 1 1/4 cup Chicken Broth
  • 1/3 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh Lemon Juice
  • All-Purpose Flour for thickening
  • 1 tablespoon chopped Fresh Parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Making the Mushroom Mixture: Add 2 tablespoons of butter to a heavy skillet. Melt over medium heat. Add the shallots and saute until golden.
  2. Cooking the Mushrooms: Add the mushrooms and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 7 minutes until slightly browned.
  3. Adding Flavor: Stir in the garlic, sage, and thyme, and cook for another 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
  4. Preparing the Chicken: Pound the chicken breasts to 1/4 inch thickness and dredge in seasoned flour.
  5. Cooking the Chicken: Cook the chicken in butter and olive oil until golden on both sides. Transfer to a platter in the oven.
  6. Making the Marsala Sauce: Deglaze the skillet with marsala wine. Add chicken broth, cream, lemon juice, and mushrooms. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  7. Final Steps: Return chicken to the skillet, coat with sauce, and serve garnished with parsley.
