For the Chicken:
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 ½ lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts (sliced)
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 ½ tbsp chili powder
- 3 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
For the Pasta:
- 5 cups milk
- 4 cups farfalle pasta
- 1 cup cheddar cheese
For the Vegetables:
- 1 medium red bell pepper (sliced)
- 1 medium yellow bell pepper (sliced)
- 1 medium green bell pepper (sliced)
- 1 medium yellow onion (sliced)
- Cook the Chicken: Heat butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes, turning halfway through. Remove the chicken and set aside.
- Saute the Vegetables: Add sliced bell peppers and onions to the skillet, and cook until the peppers are soft and the onion is translucent, about 5-6 minutes.
- Combine Ingredients: Add the chicken back into the skillet, then add salt, black pepper, chili powder, cumin, brown sugar, and garlic. Stir until well-coated.
- Cook the Pasta: Pour in the milk and pasta, bring to a boil. Reduce to medium heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Add Cheese: Sprinkle the cheese over the top and mix in until completely melted.
