  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Wet Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted (plus extra for greasing the donut tin)
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup whole milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Blueberry Glaze:

  • 3/4 cup wild blueberries (plus 2 tablespoons for garnish)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat the oven to 350ºF (180ºC). Grease a donut tin with butter and prepare a piping bag with a large round tip.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a bowl, mix melted butter, sugar, milk, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Add Dry Ingredients: Sift in flour, baking powder, and salt. Fold gently.
  4. Incorporate Blueberries: Fold in blueberries until evenly distributed.
  5. Pipe Donuts: Pipe batter into donut tin and bake for 13-15 minutes.
  6. Cool and Glaze: Cool donuts, then glaze with blueberry mixture.

Notes

  • If using frozen blueberries, expect the batter to turn purple due to the juice released during baking.
