    For the BLT Salad:

  • 12 oz cooked bacon, sliced
  • 1 to 2 cups croutons
  • 1 lb (about 3 cups) tomatoes, sliced (any variety)
  • 1 medium/large head of lettuce, chopped, rinsed, and dried
  • For the Creamy BLT Salad Dressing:

  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 4 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 large garlic clove, pressed
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh chives
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt (or to taste)
  • 1 to 2 tbsp milk (or as needed for desired consistency)

Instructions

  1. Make the Dressing: In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, pressed garlic, chopped chives, black pepper, and sea salt. Stir until well combined.
  2. Gradually add 1 to 2 tbsp of milk, depending on the consistency you prefer. Cover the dressing and refrigerate it to allow the flavors to meld.
  3. Assemble the Salad: In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped lettuce, sliced tomatoes, cooked bacon, and croutons.
  4. Just before serving, drizzle the prepared dressing over the salad to taste. Toss everything together gently to coat.
