For the BLT Salad:
- 12 oz cooked bacon, sliced
- 1 to 2 cups croutons
- 1 lb (about 3 cups) tomatoes, sliced (any variety)
- 1 medium/large head of lettuce, chopped, rinsed, and dried
For the Creamy BLT Salad Dressing:
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise
- 4 tbsp sour cream
- 1 large garlic clove, pressed
- 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh chives
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp sea salt (or to taste)
- 1 to 2 tbsp milk (or as needed for desired consistency)
- Make the Dressing: In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, pressed garlic, chopped chives, black pepper, and sea salt. Stir until well combined.
- Gradually add 1 to 2 tbsp of milk, depending on the consistency you prefer. Cover the dressing and refrigerate it to allow the flavors to meld.
- Assemble the Salad: In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped lettuce, sliced tomatoes, cooked bacon, and croutons.
- Just before serving, drizzle the prepared dressing over the salad to taste. Toss everything together gently to coat.
