Dry Ingredients:

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1 1/3 cup mashed banana
  • 6 tbsp water
  • 3 tbsp pure maple syrup, agave, or honey OR stevia equivalent
  • 3 tbsp oil, nut butter, or additional water
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Optional:

  • Handful of chocolate chips, chopped nuts, etc.

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line an 8-inch pan with parchment paper or grease it well.
  2. Mix ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients. Smooth the mixture into the prepared pan. Add chocolate chips on top if desired.
  3. Bake: Bake for 20 minutes. After baking, turn off the heat but keep the bars in the closed oven for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Slice and store: Remove from the oven and slice into bars. Leftover bars can be refrigerated for 3-4 days or frozen for longer storage.
